When we first began developing our flushing and micron analysis service for performance coolers we started by establishing a baseline for the current industry standard.

  • Sampling/ Investigation
    • We began to take pre and post race samples from many cooler types to examine the contaminate size and quantity
    • Establishing pre use contaminate and post race contaminate
    • After component failure we examined the parts and oiling system in one particular case to determine its cause.
    • We established an early relationship with Formula One and discussed our findings and theories
  • Testing
    • We began to test more in depth and capture live data not only from particulate size but what the material content was made of and the array of material types
    • The testing was a total success as we could see the pre race data and post race data and the differences between them.
    • This visual data was essential to the make up and affect of contamination levels being produced after a race.
  • Service Cleaning
    • The constant testing allowed us to develop a cleaning process, so to complete this task to reduce contaminate levels we at Serck developed Fluid Dynamic flow rigs.
    • This was a new evolution in cleaning and we designed specific and very complex rigs to do this.
    • Micron Analysis Testing was then established via multiple microscopes and sample filtration testing which allowed us to count as minimal as 1 Micron.
  • Flow Testing
    • We also constructed and introduced Flow Testing to the Service
    • 5 Flow Rates up to 10 ltrs per second or as little as 0.5ltrs per second
    • Measuring Flow Rate and Pressure Drops in a very precise way to determine the core performance.
  • Micron Analysis – Creating a Standard
    • Once we had real time data and comparisons we could then establish an actual standard of cleanliness and particle count that was much higher than typical ISO standards and the results were staggering between pre and post race.
  • Our standard is now used in Sports Car manufacturing and Race Manufacturers
  • We supply this service and standard worldwide spanning more than 50% of the grid in Formula One and Engine Manufacturers, Formula E, WRC, Touring Car and much more.
